To Mix or Not To Mix?

I know it’s been awhile since I have posted. Let’s just get use to that happening and move on. K?

Tonight I took a couple of photos of myself.  That’s big because I despise being on the front side of a camera.  ”Why?” is a long story with too much info for me to get into here. I mean, this is my SL blog, not a therapy blog. K? K.

Where was I?   Oh yes, photo.  I took a couple of photos and used a very basic program to alter them some. You know, a little crop there, a little brightening and darkening.  Nothing big or fancy. No brushes or effects.  Then I saved them to a folder.   I am sure I had a plan beyond that when I started out, but now I don’t remember what it was. And not remembering where I was going to post the pictures led me here. Odd segue I know, but there it is none-the-less.

All that brings me to this question:  Do you mix RL with SL?  And where do you post RL personal stuff? Do you keep it separate from your SL stuff?

I do not mix RL and SL.  Especially while in world.  That said, I do mix it some on Plurk.  Also, there are a select few who I consider friends – as opposed to “someone I met playing an online game”.   Out of those friends, I have a few that I would consider good friends. And so on as the grouping gets smaller and smaller.
Then there are in-world good friends.  Meaning, I know a little about their rl, but we don’t mix it outside of SL, or if we do, it is SL centered.  I guess you could say, my avi cares about them.  Yes, you may call the men with little white coat that ties in the back if you wish, but it made sense to me.  I care about the person behind the avi, but our friendship, though good inworld and extends beyond, doesn’t really go out of SL.
And then there are some who you would think fall into that category, since we’ve not really chatted out side of SL, but they don’t. The still fall into the friend category.

I am not sure if any of that made sense, but it does to me.

Ok, so why I’d type all that out?  I guess to explain that even though I don’t mix SL and RL, there are exceptions and different levels of mixing. At least for me there are.

I plurk with my SL friends.
I twitter with RL stuff.
I have two flickr accounts: 1 for sl and 1 for rl.
FB is RL
I have blog with Misty, a blog for SL and separate blogs for RL.
I have a lot of passwords.
It is a bit more work, but that’s the way it is for me. Some of this has begun merging. For example, in plurk I have shared more RL stuff than I would have in my earlier SL days.

Now, it is back to you with my questions.
Do you mix RL with SL?
And when you do post RL personal stuff do you keep it separate from your SL stuff?
